Digital art PART 4: Shroud

Yep,,,, I drew this just now. (no eye mask version). I haven't touch much on digital art recently. Busy busy with assignment~ Also, I honestly don't know what to do with her. Sometimes we create our own new characters we ended up don't know what to do with him/her haha

This drawing was back in.... I think it was around either June, July, or August. This is Shroud's normal form. Behind her is her superheroine form~

And thisssss I drew this back around August~ Ignore that "Day 9". It's actually counting days to being productive in drawing my oc (original character). Shroud is one of them. (GAH I have so many babies!)

Before I forgot, yeah this was randomly planned with my friend from America, which we might and hopefully do a short comic or etc regarding Shroud and her villain(?) character named Rose and some characters and stuff. Doing Superhero genre story is quiet difficult to be honest. xD Gotta do more research.

Digital art PART 3: I miss The Lute Player so much - fairytale roleplay Marchen in fb group

If you familiar with Russian fairytale, you may know "The Lute Player". 

I was a roleplayer (well, not THE roleplayer). I roleplay just to fill up my free time and in the same time learn new things either in drawing or in English language~ My first one was Harry Potter Pottermore. The second one is Marchen, which is I chose The Lute Player as my fairytale character below.

The Lute Player on character sheet provided by admin. I imagined her and design like this. Simple, but quiet difficult to think of the design. 

Besides Marchen being roleplay fb group, 

Fullbody of the Lute Player. I put shadow on her/him. 

To cut short, The Lute Player fairytale is about a Queen disguised herself as a man, the Lute Player; to save her captive husband from the other side of kingdom. 

The beginner of the story; to begin roleplaying. :3 The Queen's hair was long until she became The Lute Player. I like how the third drawing turned out like that... I honestly drew it randomly since I draw it around 2am.

The first meeting with Ardwyn, whom the character belongs to Jordan Matti. Maaan he's good delivering and roleplay as his character Ardwyn.

Yeah a few of Marchen members commented on my posts and I only able to finish Fanta's and Jordan's route.

I forgot which scene is this but this is near the sea, meeting with the beautiful Sea Witch in Marchen world~ Poor the Lute Player.... Yet again 2am drawing HAHA

I drew this while I was bored, and in the same time try drawing Russian dress. Russian culture is such gorgeous~

Modern Beach Party AU~ (AU means Alternate Universe) Have some relaxing from Marchen for a while~

Another modern au just for fun, where I made her as a mute bookshop worker and can only communicate with her by sign language and conveying feelings by music instruments.

Sometimes y'all wondering why I put several characters' name Sarah right? xD 

Well, the main reason is I love imagining myself as someone else; like I imagine myself as a superheroine, imagine how I fall off to the universe, what if I can jump from building to buildings, how I lived in Victorian era and so on...

Okay that's all. :y

Digital art part 2: YAY newest artwork

Finally.... I got time to draw something I like. My baby character Veil Gravenoble in alternate fashion; samurai. 

Actually I've planned to draw all my characters in any fashion/costumes just for fun and in the same time sharpening design skills. I love any kinds of fashion according to genres or etc.

... Okay this looks cleaner than the latest one HAHA. Been busy with uni stuff and I didn't draw much digitally recently. This is Bunny Haruka in alternate fashion. 

Here's the sketch versions, along with other two characters Vampiria and Lord Death. 

There are a LOT more of my characters besides them here. I'll do them slowly first.

Gokutojihen fanbook previews for upcoming conventions!

My first fanbook ever for upcoming conventions! This is from Underworld Capital Incident (Gokutojihen) which this, at first, a Japanese indie pixel horror game, created by Rinnedou. 

I feel like wanted to tell you the story of how the first time I discovered this simple yet interesting game~ The first time it released was around 2014; where I stumbled across Facebook newsfeed that there's this one image of an interesting Japanese soldier guy with his katana, along with blood-patterned background. At first glance he looked like Germany from Hetalia anime.

The curiosity rose by just looking at this different concept of horror game that involves character design of a Japanese soldier from WW2-ish era~ I downloaded the game and played it; the plot was simple, and as usual, it's a horror game so there'll be suspense and the game is so quiet (until particular scenes). The characters; THE CHARACTERS ARE SO INTERESTING AND ADORABLE AND HGHGGHGGH at that time we only get to know so little about the characters and their hq and their worlds.... I craved for more by seeing fanarts by various artists, fancomics, fanfictions, and so on (mostly from pixiv because it's only popular in Japan.) until I drew some fanarts. 

And... yeah, it's only popular in Japan... English fandom or any outside from Japan, only little of us know and love Gokutojihen. So, I decided to make a fanbook full of my drawings (and a friend's one) to promote and spread love for Gokutojihen on doujin booths in any conventions I'm able to participate.

Supports from many artists and demands from Gokutojihen fans to make stories about Gokutojihen, Rinnedou and teammates made an official web-manga~ (to read it, you have to sign in pixiv account... but lol they're in Japanese). ANd also,,,,, Rinnedou's 2nd Gokutojihen game entitled "Filament".

Okay I should stop rambling about this AHAHAH I'm so excited. 

Hopefully get to print this fanbook and see you guys at Comic Fiesta 2016 this December~!

7th sketch

7th sketch in sketchbook~ It started as doodle during Community Service lecture; firstly drew a man painting on easel. Then next class; English class, it turned out like this; a man painting on easel in art class/gallery room. 

Lol I was very sleepy.  

EDIT (24/10/16): My lecturer said that it looks like a comic. xD 

Oh well that can be accepted too~

2D principles animation subject: head rotation study 1 + flour sack studies

Our lecturer told us to draw head rotations. Yeahhh I used my baby Veil Gravenoble to do head rotation study~ Also she told us that we can draw as many as we can because this is for practice. I'll do more if have time~ Because there's "lect's note" I wrote there; she said that "find a way to make the hair same during rotation". So the lines wouldn't intersect each other.... Whoa I surely do always draw messy curly hair like that. 

Flour sack for second assignment~ I was distracted by its cuteness to be honest. I've finished the animation ones. I'll upload them later~

Second assignment: Self-portrait, NO TAKING PIC OF MESELF

Yeppp 2nd assignment. Our lecturer told us to draw self-portrait, but in ONE condition, No taking pictures of ourselves; ONLY refer to the mirror. Any medium can be used to draw.

Sometimes I'm okay with drawing real people portrait. But sometimes not. Like I said before, I'm not fond much on drawing real people. Here,,,, this looks creepy; creepily good. //okay what am I talking about// But what I hate about this self-portrait is that always not the same as myself... Especially my precious NOSE lol

And here is the coloured version of self-portrait. Wewww I look like an old lady HAHA! Here I used copic markers and a little colour pencils. 

Inktober 2016~ but only little I did _(:'3_)L

It's that time of month again... INKTOBER. But sadly I only do them until Day 4.... Here are the ones below~ 

I mostly draw on day 1 because yeah I was over-hyped.

Day 1: Wand~ This is my Harry Potter Pottermore character, Sarah Rookwood. This is when she got her first wand at Ollivander's~ I forgot what's her type of wand but what I remember is that the wand I got is dragon heartstring core. I better check back in my Pottermore account.

Day 1 (also): Any seasonal witch~ I chose Autumn witch because I love autumn, although there are no 4 seasons in my country. Here I was very rusty in using copic markers so I used this opportunity to warm-up back. Cute isn't she?

Again day 1: Fairy. Soooooo many themes at that month. My fairy character named Eden. Also I wanna show more of his butt- //slapped//

Againnnnn day 1; I drew random. I just wanted to draw Aki and Lord Death's first interaction each other HAHA Poor Aki. Aki will appear in my story but not yet... Long story.

Day 2: Urban Witch~ I challenged myself to draw something like this! One word: FUN. I hope I can do more like these someday. Used copic markers, I forgot the ink pen name but I think it's Artline. 

Day 3: Collect. Featuring my characters Veil Gravenoble, Lord Death, and a new character (teaser lol) in her room full of minerals collection~ Yeah I challenged myself working on this too. This scene will be in some like-- hmmmmm a side story.

Day 4: The Hanged Man; the last Inktober sobsss. I love Tarot cards designs. I don't play them, but I adore their designs so much it's so interesting! So many versions from different artists- [okay I'm rambling now]. (*-*) The last time I drew Tarot related was drawing a commission for a commissioner; I think it was a Knight. Now, I got chance again to draw Tarot related character. 

I actually randomly draw him and his clothes. Okay that turned out quiet good unexpectedly. (o_0)

THANK GOODNESS I thought I lost my gif animation-

My work desk at home~ Pretty messy and small space isn't it? Actually my room was dim when I took the photo although it was evening. This is the still image version. While below here is:

Animated gif version! I did this because I was bored. Also I sometimes scrolling down artworks in Tumblr and I love artists' works who do gif looping animation. So why not I try something new~ 

I actually intended to do looping animation too, but sadly I don't know what to do with the cloud so yeah just leave it like that. First I draw normally in Paint Tool SAI (you can do in Photoshop straightaway), but leave the hanging photos transparent. Then in new file, draw blue sky and clouds separately. After things were good, I animated them in After Effects CS6. Same goes to blinking lights on drawing tablet and laptop.

Hopefully I have time to do more~ I have so many ideas on looping animated gifs in my head. (*-*)

Digital art time~ PART 1: Introducing my ocs from my story "Veil Gravenoble" series

As some of you know, I'm more into digital than traditional. But combining both helps me tho yet not much. Maybe I'll adapt it when I'm drawing scenery or so. 

Now; honestly, I don't know what to post here since I draw a lot, A LOT of digital illustration! 

Okay... Now, I wanted to show you what I've said at previous posts... Here goes!

I did these trio back in 2013. The green one is Lord Death, the middle; yeah, Alice. And the red one; the main character Veil Gravenoble. I don't know when I'm going to tell each of them's info but hmmmmm we'll see~

Here is this year's (2016) one, where I did this during fasting month~ I gave the title "Tiny Trio". I also did a speedpaint which you can find it in my Youtube. But still, I'm not satisfied with the red mushroom there. A very difficult piece to draw; colouring the lighting and stuff to make cool+hint of sad yet mystery atmosphere.

Alice. Well, if you see this kind of lighting, what comes in your mind about her? Is she the usual Alice from the fairytale we heard of... or something else...?

Yeah serious Veil Gravenoble and sassy Lord Death~ As you see, Veil has two designs. Because I'm going to make two or maybe trilogy(?) story of "Veil Gravenoble" series. 

Aaaa the characters that you'll see... But not yet. They are Berserker, Bunny Haruka, Vampiria, and DollMaker. Among these 4, Bunny Haruka is my favourite~

I think that's all for this part 1~ Ohhh since I continued study degree, I have no time to draw for myself \(QAQ)/ I hope I can draw my babies again and continue slowly on comic~ And also hopefully I get to show you guys again about these characters and a little bit story.

Angel plays a harp, and my fairies. These were last night's sketches before bed. Yet again, I was very sleepy... I have three fairies; water fairy, earth fairy, and normal fairy who loves roses.

Studies: Hands

Studies in class yesterday. Hands. 

It was not much, but hopefully I'm not running out of newsprint (drawing pad) papers later because I wanted to practice more. Not to mention the paper feels comfortable drawing on them!

4th sketches

Sleepy morning sketches while waiting for lecturer to arrive. The lady in red was referenced from that one facebook page;;; I forgot the name... The fashion was simple and classy. And suddenly I imagined her being a creepy Red Lady; or "Lady in Red". xD I'll experiment more of her design later~ The left one is just some sketches of sitting characters and expressive characters.... and a foot.

3rd sketches

It was a sleepy sketches; tired from routine days. 

Here are my babies~! Lord Death, the Chinese green horn guy, and Veil Gravenoble, a confused child. (LOL) 

Besides him is Alice, along with the rabbit and mushrooms. 

I would love to introduce them and others to you guys but I don't want to go on details much or it'll be spoilers from my comic I'm working on.... which;;; the comic is on idle at the moment. (I JUST STARTED 5 PAGES AT 1ST CHAPTER SOBS) Too busy in real life and stuff. I wish I have time.

First assignment

After a few practice/warm-ups, I finally get to start 1st assignment, portrait of any people/celebrity/actor/actress/etc you like. I chose Miss Peregrine from the latest movie "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". I chose her because she is one of my favourite character! A cool, high-determination Miss Peregrine taking care and protect the children from harm! This, I also get to used those HB to 8B pencils for the first time ever; since I usually draw with 2B pencils~ Still got a lot of work to do. I'm not good in shadings; kinda weird I hate blending the pencils effects on paper via finger/tissue.

It's not the first time drawing real human portrait; but... It's been a while; and I'm pretty comfortable doing semi-realistic style than 100% realistic style. Thus, this is a warm-up. So yeah, I was pretty nervous the first time I attended figure design class; but little by little it became enjoyable to learn new things. Hope I can make it~!
