Sketching and draft things up on mythical creature assignment!

This is final assignment for Figure Design class, mythical creature! It sounds fascinating, but gotta do this carefully since the medium we are going to use is watercolour. I'm very VERY rusty in watercolour and I'm not capable to colour something realistic. *sobs* But I'll try! We cannot rush on doing watercolour especially when it comes to painting.

Right now, below are the design drafts to be shown to my lecturer which design he like.

I make my mythical creature based on my favourite animals. Horse, eagle, elk.

Draft things up. Things look weird at first!

My lecturer chose this one. Time to modernized the myth! He's cool too. A Russian Pterocentaur! I'm gonna call him Valentin!

In my personal preference, I like this one since it's more to the olds. Welp I'll think of something to use this character in some art or in my story or whatever it is~

Scan a few from sketchbook!

I finally get to scan up my sketchbook! I had hard times to scan them up because I always ALWAYS forgot about it. Now, here are scans from a few of contents in my sketchbook.

I sketched this Shroud a month ago. Trying to know her more by drawing her in action and poses and so on.

Shroud is rather a shy person HAHA but determined to be brave and protect the ones she love.

Hand studies because yeah hands are very difficult to draw. Until now I still have problem with it. Hopefully get to practice more when I have time!

Another hands! Somehow I enjoyed shading these hands up.

A very quick and sleepy poses sketches, and the next time during class, the cop session was been made.

Heyyaa! + Sketches

Good morning! Sorry for the very lack of updates here. Been busy with assignments and real life stuff until forgot to put anything in my blog. So, I'll be spamming up my own blog! For today's post, here were the assignments of 25 - 30 poses of your favourite artist. I chose Glen Keane because of how he draw expressive characters and variety of designs. His most popular works are Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and many more! The Disney movies that I grew up with~  For this assignments, my lecturer wanted us to draw humans/half-human (Ariel is the mermaid). So far, the medium he worked on was mostly pencils and charcoals.

Artist's studies, Glen Keane; the Disney Legend. At that time I haven't write anything yet on it.

Pocahontas (I'm sorry I unconsciously drew her like Moana-), Tarzan, two different poses of Jane, and Rapunzel

Pocahontas with John Smith, Ariel's tail turned into feet, Tarzan, and Rapunzel. Dynamic pose on Tarzan is GOOD

Variety of Pocahontas poses, Ariel, and Rapunzel. Seriously I love Ariel very much! So expressive!

Aladdin, Tarzan, Ariel. I had fun drawing Aladdin since he's a cutie and also very expressive character.

I almost died drawing this three days straight non-stop. Even my plushie Toon Link passed out. I did this because I have a lot of other drawings and assignments to finish

Yawwww messy room is my nest. The feeling of finishing work was satisfying!

Overall, I had fun drawing these 25-30 poses assignments. It takes me into a whole new different level on drawing variety and dynamic anatomy! I hope this will help me in other drawings in the near future!
