The night before the day of presentation (and English exam).
The first time ever drawing an illustration "traditionally" on a big A2 sized watercolour paper. Yes... WATAKALA. I left watercolour after diploma sem 1 (while I stopped colour pencil back in Form 3 Pendidikan Seni). I kept calming myself down for not panic when doing traditional medium assignments. Honestly I've been rusty on that medium for years.
All in all, it's something new to me. :0 Though I tried my best to imagine the final products in my head of how the illustration come out look like in digital art version (So yeah kinda explained the colour combination on his wings), at least this turned out somewhat good from what I imagined... Except the sky. Still, traditional medium is far different from digital medium tho, unless you're really REALLY good at it.
I tried many times on his prosthetic front left limb to look metal-ish or so but whoa.... My weakness on colouring metal material... Hopefully I get more time to practice more. (o-o)9
I love horses/centaurs/pterocentaurs or related to that because it's unique and so magically majestic when seeing them.
Also basically I got the inspirations to do this from the combination of Overwatch and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I love play as Widowmaker and Ana, since both of them are both snipers. While Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (GOSH THIS GAME IS KILLING ME I WANT THAT ZELDA GAME SO MUCH) is Link; which kinda one of reasons that I watched the trailers and quick early 17/20 minutes gameplays for many times in Youtube. So, for short, Widowmaker+Link BoTW = Shad. x'''D Gosh how come did I came up with that name... But when think back, this mythical creature design I created looked serious and focused, lastly his name sounded nerdy hehe... which is to me, good. I like the contrast between names and appearances. Not to mentioned he's a scholar before he enlisted to become a soldier.
I think that is all for now! I'm glad everything went well today. I gotta take a rest then continue to study TITAS and practice back dance for this Thursday...
Let things be at ease~!
